Description

This scenic desert park offers camping, hiking, picnicking, bicycling, horseback riding, plant and wildlife viewing, and an archaeological site, all just a few minutes from Tucson. Catalina State Park is located within Coronado National Forest, and is managed by Arizona State Parks in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service. The park encompasses 5,493 acres at elevations near 3,000 feet.

Additional Notes

Tables, group size BBQ grills, drinking water, portable toilets, fire rings (must bring own wood), shade from trees during summer months, parking. Campsites have picnic tables, grills, and campground restrooms with showers. Equestrian center (available for off-loading or caming with horses). Trails for hiking, backbacking, bicycling, and equestrian use.

Group Sites:
Each group area features a 20X40 shade ramada, 20 picnic tables, two group BBQ grills, and a fire ring (bring your own wood). The two group areas share a modern flush restroom facility that includes hot showers.
