Monument Valley is in a remote and undeveloped part of the country, with no major nearby airports. The nearest major airports are the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport located approximately 300 miles south in Phoenix, the Albuquerque International Sunport located approximately 330 miles to the east in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the McCarran International Airport located approximately 375 miles west in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Salt Lake International Airport located approximately 400 miles north in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you're willing to fly with smaller, private companies such as Mesa Airlines and Great Lakes Aviation, you can find connecting flights through United Airlines, American Airlines and Continental Airlines that will take you to closer locations such as Farmington, NM (roughly 130 miles east) and Flagstaff, AZ (roughly 170 miles southwest).
