Description
The Mount Trumbull Wilderness now contains a total of 7,880 acres and is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. All of the wilderness is in the state of Arizona.
The Mount Trumbull Wilderness is 40 miles south of Colorado City, just north of Grand Canyon National Park and in the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. It is approximately 60 miles southwest of Fredonia, Arizona and about 60 miles south of St. George, Utah. It is about 7 miles north of the Mount Logan Wilderness.
You can enjoy challenging recreational activities like hiking, backpacking, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, horse packing, bird watching, stargazing, and extraordinary opportunities for solitude.
