Description

This fortress is the most intact survivor of what was once a network of similar defensive sites built by the Spanish. There is also the ghost town of Fairbank, about 3 miles from the Presidio trailhead along AZ 82.

Basic Directions

Take I-10 east from Tucson to AZ 90. Go south 20 miles to AZ 82. Go east 9 miles to Kellar Road, then 2 miles north to the parking lot.
