Description

The Tabeguache Trail is an epic route in western Colorado that connects the cities of Grand Junction and Montrose via a long, scenic route through the Uncompahgre Plateau. As it passes through mountain canyons, the trail's elevation varies by over 5,000 feet, and some portions of the route are very steep or technically difficult. Remarkable scenery, solitude, and an abundance of wildlife can also be found on this multi-day trip.

The majority of the route follows jeep trails, with a few miles of singletrack rounding out the journey. Backroad access allows riders to try individual segments of the trail. Those segments at lower altitude will be open earlier in the year than the higher ones.
