Intermediate
Time To Allow:
3 hours

Description

The Lynx Lake trail is a brilliant ride through mature Ponderosa Pine and Oak forest, a bit of a novelty in Arizona. The singletrack of the Lynx Lake trail is high quality, with plenty of rolling and fast sections that are sure to please riders of a variety of ability levels. The Lynx Lake trail is a perfect ride for warm summer days when other rides in the state are too sweltering to consider.

Views of Lynx Lake along the ride are stunning, the bright blue mountain lake rimmed with forest. Riders who are not feeling up to intermediate level route finding may want to consider riding the Lynx Lake trail as an out and back. The marked trail ends at the access to Bannie Mine Road. For those feeling adventurous a fun singletrack trail to the west can be accessed that will bring riders back to the trailhead, though conscious attention to direction is key here to keep from getting lost.
