Description
This day-use picnic site is located on the scenic south shore of Roosevelt Lake.
Set within the Roosevelt Lake Wildlife Area where, during the winter, Canada Geese and bald eagles can be observed.
The drive to Vineyard Canyon is highlighted by spectacular views of the Sierra Ancha Mountains, Four Peaks Wilderness, Roosevelt Lake, and the Tonto Basin.
Trails provide access to the lake for fishing.

Basic Directions
Take State Route (SR) 87 (Beeline Highway) north for about 60 miles to the junction of SR 87 and SR 188. Turn right and follow SR 188 for 31 miles to the site. The entire route is paved.
From the Globe area:
Take SR 188 north for 30 miles to the junction of SR 88 and SR 188. Continue on SR 188 across the bridge for 2 miles to the site. The entire route is paved.
