Description
This is a quick ride that originates in Alpine and winds through out, and back into Alpine. It offers many different surroundings on the quick drive. There are areas where you will be on paved shoulders of two lane highways to rocky forest roads.
Though the drive is very short, you will quickly feel like you are a million miles away, though you are just a short distance from Alpine.
The lake for which this trail is named is is just a short distance off the main route. It is a popular spot to eat lunch if you packed one.
At the right time of year you may spot some migrant Waterfowl at the lake.

From Alpine, Starting at the intersection of Highways 191 and 180 in Alpine, proceed north about 1/3 mile to Forest Road 8200 and turn right (east) on FR 8200.
